Board Member
Dr. Abdul Munis
Dr. Munis is a graduate of Dow Medical College, Karachi and served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Michigan State University. He has extensive experience in In-Patient and Out-Patient practices and currently works at Baylor Grapevine and Medical Director of Hospice.

Akram Syed
Akram graduated with MS in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University. He is an IT Executive serving as President and Managing Director of Accelor Solutions, Richardson-TX. Akram is a long time member of MCC Board providing business and philanthropic oversight for the agency.

Arshad Majid, JD
Arshad graduated BS in Biology from Stony Brook University, MBA from St. John’s Graduate School of Business and JD from St. John’s University School of Law. He served as Adjunct Faculty and is the principal attorney at Majid & Associates P.C. Arshad also worked as Asst. District Attorney and Prosecutor for NY State. He currently serves as an advisor to several local and national organizations.

Aziz Budri
Aziz is an Afghan native and a US Citizen based in Colleyville, TX. He graduated from University of Iowa with degree in Political Science. He founded Afghan Unity and Islamic Association of Texas as Co-Founder and President. Aziz is an expert on Afghanistan by Federal Courts and is a frequent media speaker on issues related to Afghanistan.

Dr. Sadia Basit
Dr. Basit graduated from Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. She lived in the Dallas since 2012 and currently works as the lead dentist for Monarch Dental in McKinney. She says “I like helping people in need whatever capacity I can. I feel we all are too busy in this life and doing little to create a beautiful home in the afterlife”.

Joseph Green-Bishop
Joseph started his career in media and print publications after studying law at North Carolina Central University School of Law. He is former editor for the Afro-American Newspaper in Baltimore, he was also a staff writer for the Washington Post, the Georgia Gazette and the Atlanta Journal Newspapers. Joseph is an author of seven books.

Naeem Choudhary
Naeem is an experienced IT professional for 25 years. He is also a founding member and former VP of Pakistan American Asocial of Texas and served Pakistan Society of North Texas in different capacities over twelve years. Naeem is the founding member and President of Pakistan Community Services, Board of Director of American Pakistani Public Affair Committee.

Ramon Flanigan
Ramon graduated from Southern Methodist University with BS in Economics. He played at SMU Football Team and honored as a CFA Good Works Team All-American award. He served as professional coach for Univ. of North Texas, Mississippi Valley State Univ, Lamar University and Lincoln Univ in Pennsylvania. Ramon is currently the Director of External Affairs for the SMU Football Program.

Sumbel Zeb
Sumbel earned her BA degree in Political Science from Hofstra University and Southern Methodist University and MS from University of North Texas. She is a paralegal and freelance political strategist currently serves as the Director of District Projects for the office of Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson.

Kamri Brown
As a Jackson State Alum, Kamri Brown is making a significant impact in her role as the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for the Dallas Mavericks' Mavs Take ACTION! Team. Her focus on addressing racial inequities, promoting social justice, and driving sustainable change in the Dallas-Fort Worth area highlights her dedication to creating positive change within underprivileged communities.

Sofia "Michelle" Ansari
Michelle received her B.A. in Philosophy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She completed her LL.B. From the University of Windsor, Canada. Michelle is a Barrister & Solicitor, licensed member of the Bar of Ontario under the Law Society of Upper Canada. She has interest in community diversity, bridge building and strengthening relations between Muslim communities and secular society.

Ayesha Hussain
Ayesha earned her BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. She served as Sr. Engineer at several Fortune 500 companies (Motorola, Lucent, Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia and Samsung). Ayesha was also a founding member of non-profit organization and has a passion to serve underserved communities.
